THE AUTHOR |
Sephuine Morgan, born in Birmingham (UK), always expressed her interest in writing from around the age of 10. Her creative pieces would shine, through the lights of; poems, letters to friends and fictional diary stories.
Sephuine's later intersests in business and entrepreneurship stemmed from the deprived area of Winson Green, that she was raised in where, not much families owned business' and many people were poor. |
After graduating from child studies, Sephuine used her social work and teaching careers to engage with young people brought up in similar areas to herself that encountered challenges surrounding the stigma of 'the hood'. She understood that the problems they faced included low self-esteem, confidence issues, gang culture, absent fathers and a lack of positive role models.

Merging her practices together, she understood that the situation was much more complex than finances and had a lot more to do with the way we think. Sephuine decided to use the information that she felt was the 'starting tool' to fixing the problem and began mentoring peers and young people, using confidence and self-belief workshops to inspire them to create their own opportunities to make money. This then lead on to her debut release of 'The Hood Entrepreneur'.
"I just want to influence as many young people as I can, to start their own business', because we live in a society where employment is declining and we are no longer safe in a job".
